Improving patients' QOL through dentistry
Treatments that contribute to overall health
Improving patients' Quality of Life (QOL) through dental care, contributing to overall health. As Japan's average lifespan continues to rise, entering the "century of life," health span becomes increasingly important. Health span, the period one can live independently, directly influences QOL. "Torinomori Dental Clinic" was born from the idea of what a dental clinic can do to extend this health span and improve QOL.
The most critical aspect of dentistry's role in health span is preventing the decline in chewing ability due to tooth loss. Losing teeth and the ensuing lack of chewing force can lead to various risks such as malnutrition, dementia, and aspiration pneumonia. Our clinic focuses on comprehensive dental care centered around prevention to maintain dental health, supporting you to stay youthful and energetic. Feel free to visit and consult with us if you have any concerns or issues.

Our clinic employs counseling staff to ensure effective treatment through close communication with patients. We understand that it might be difficult for some patients, especially those who are apprehensive about dental care, to express their concerns directly to the doctor. Our counseling staff can facilitate these conversations, whether it's about minimizing treatment costs or creating less noticeable dentures. They act as a bridge between the doctor and the patient, using tablets for explanations to help patients visually understand their treatment. We take patient satisfaction seriously, documenting oral health progress and changes with photographs. Since oral health significantly impacts overall health, we believe our dental clinic can play a significant role in enhancing general wellness. Feel free to discuss anything with us, as we are committed to resolving your concerns and ensuring you are fully informed before proceedingwith treatment.
Our all-female staff of 12 members ensures thorough listening and understanding during extended counseling sessions, providing comfort and solving concerns. The cooperative and abundant staff meticulously handles crucial operations, including counseling, registration, and appointments. They offer support during treatments, oversee children while parents are being treated, and assist elderly patients with special needs. We encourage patients of all ages to consult us with any issue, as we strive for attentive and meticulous care tailored to each individual.
In response to recent concerns over in-clinic hygiene, our clinic has a specialized team for disinfection and sterilization, constantly updating and sharing hygiene-related information among staff to maintain a secure and safe treatment atmosphere. We comply with the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's standards for dental outpatient environments. Every piece of equipment, including turbines, is sterilized with high-pressure steam after each use, and tools are unpacked in front of patients. We use disposable products for aprons, cups, and gloves to ensure hygiene in areas unseen by patients, ensuring that even if our staff were patients themselves, they would feel confident in our sanitary measures.
We have implemented the "Poseidon" water line disinfection system in all dental units. In dentistry, water is used for various purposes, such as drilling teeth and rinsing. Dirty water pipes can lead to the use of contaminated water for treatment. "Poseidon" transforms tap water into electrolyzed neutral functional water without chemicals, circulating antimicrobial water to inhibit bacterial growth in the water lines, ensuring all water used in the clinic is clean, thus effectively preventing in-clinic infections.
We are accredited as a "Primary Dental Care Enhancement Facility," a new system allowing clinics that meet specific treatment and facility standards set by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare to provide preventive measures, such as periodontal disease prevention, within insurance coverage. While the importance of dental cleaning is widely recognized, the cost has been a barrier for some. Now, within a range of ¥1,500 to ¥3,000 (varies by month), patients can easily access dental cleaning services. The treatment program is determined by insurance, but for those desiring more detailed, customized prevention, we also offer cleaning services at an out-of-pocket cost.
We have designed separate treatment rooms for children and adults to create a relaxing environment for our young patients. Additionally, with a nursing room and on-site childcare professionals, families with young children can feel assured when receiving treatment. We believe familiarizing children with dental care from an early age is crucial for realizing preventative-focused dental healthcare. Hence, we've tailored our environment to ensure they can receive treatment comfortably and securely.
